Gertrude "Belle" Barribeau PECOR

Mrs. Fred (Belle) Pecor, 96, and a lifelong Oconto resident, died Saturday afternoon, Nov. 26, 1988 at the Oconto Memorial Hospital.

 The former Gertrude B. Barribeau was born March 20, 1892 in Oconto to the late George and Fanny Barribeau. She married Fred Pecor Sept. 1, 1914 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Oconto. The couple resided in the Oconto area all their married life.

 Mrs. Pecor was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Oconto, St. Anne's Society of the church, and the VFW Auxilliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, March 29, 1975, by one son, Donald, and by seven brothers and five sisters.

 She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, John and Ceil Pecor of Oconto, one daughter, Elaine Phillips of Oconto, and by one brother, Francis Barribeau, of Milwaukee. Three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

 Friends called at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home in Oconto on Monday with a VFW Auxilliary Service held. Members of St. Anne's Society recited the rosary and a parish wake service was held. Mass of Christisn Burial was held at 10:30 am Tuesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Oconto. The Rev. Joel Tuller officiated. Burial is in the Oconto Catholic Cemetery.
