Gunvor I. Bohman Hogman

Mrs. Gunvor I. Hogman, 90, Oconto Falls, died Sunday morning, October 28, 2001 at Sharpe Care, Oconto Falls.

Mrs. Hogman was born February 4, 1911 in Nasshy, Sweden, the daughter of the late Gustav and Clara (Mogren) Bohman. She came to America as a young girl, and lived with her sister in Chicago. Gunvor loved to dance, and while at a dance, she met Herbert Hogman. Herbert and Gunvor were married on May 25, 1935. The couple resided in the Chicago area for many years and settled in Oconto Falls area after vacationing there for many years.

Her hobbies were knitting, collecting decorative magnets, playing the piano, playing games, and reading. She also enjoyed gardening vegetables and flowers. Although she was a quiet person who enjoyed time alone and with her family, she did enjoy socializing with the Senior Citizens Club.

Surviving are three sons, Richard and Norm, Oconto Falls, and Mark, Paletine, IL; two daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Carol) Wilburn, Oakton, VA, and Mrs. Tom (Joan) Doherty, Grays Lake, IL; seven grandchildren, Steven, Scott, Jay, Kris, Kelly, Mark, Jr., and Becky; three great-grandchildren, Sierra, Haley, and Kaila.

Gunvor was further preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, Karl Erik and Karl Gustav, and two sisters, Ina and Margaret. Graveside Prayers will be held at 12 noon Friday, November 2, 2001 at Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL. Interment will follow.
