PESHTIGO - Gladys A. Boettcher Davis, age 94, died at Bay Area Medical Center on Friday, January 7, 2000.

The former Gladys Boettcher was born in the Town of Grover on November 28, 1915. She was the daughter of the late Fred Boettcher and Esther Aland. She lived her life in the area. She was employed at Kreiwaidt Glove Factory. She was a member of the Grover Community Church, the church organist for many years. She taught Sunday School and was a youth leader for many years. She was very active in the Women's Missionary Society. She married Jim Davis on December 14, 1939 in the Town of Grover. He preceded her in death on June 24, 1997.

She is survived by two daughters, Jean (David) Peterson of Prescott, Ariz.; Ruth Crozier of Marinette; one son Gerald (Nathalie) of Oconto Falls; three brothers, Elmer (Jane), LeRoy (Marion) and Lloyd (Audrey) all of Marinette; one sister Mildred (Frederick) Yoap of Marinette; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Erwin, Vernon and Myron.

The funeral was held Tues., Jan. 11 at her church with the Rev. Frank Hazel and the Rev. Kenneth Boettcher officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Peshtigo. Harper Funeral Home, Peshtigo, served the family.
