Falton W. Fischer, 82, 204 N, Chestnut Ave., Oconto Falls died Saturday, Feb. 27,1988 at an Oconto Falls nursing home following a long illness. He was born Dec. 13, 1905 in Gillett to Falton W. and Emma (Marcheski) Fischer. He married Ida Kardoskee on Aug. 13, 1927 in Milwaukee.

Mr. Fischer farmed for 17 years in the Town of Maple Valley. In 1944 he began his own business, Fischer Auto Body, retiring in 1973. Mr. Fischer was a charter member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church serving on various council positions.

Survivors include his wife, Ida; two sons, Falton Fischer, Wausau; and Walter Fischer, Oconto Falls; seven grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Jesse (Sophia) Mc Coy, Wausau.

He was preceded in death by one son, Frederick; four brothers and two sisters.

Friends called at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oconto Falls. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Warren Steffenhagen officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oconto Falls.

A memorial fund has been established for the church.

Jones Funeral Service, Oconto Falls, was in charge of arrangements.
