He was born March 5, 1916, in Oconto Falls, to Charles T. and Rose (Murphy) O'Neill. He attended Oconto Falls schools, graduating from high school with the Class of 1936. He went on to serve in the U.S. Army during World War II. Fritz lived all of his life in Oconto Falls where he was employed by the former Scott Paper Co. until retiring in 1976. He was a faithful member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Fritz was also a member of the Oconto Falls American Legion Post 302, a charter member of River Island Golf Club and a charter member of the Falls Paper Employee Credit Union, now NEW Credit Union. For many years, Fritz, was an avid HAM radio operator.
He is survived by many relatives and special friends, especially Amie Martin, Al and Sharon LaFave, all of Oconto Falls.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Friends called at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Oconto Falls after 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of services. Mass of Christian Burial was 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. Fr. Harold Beerntsen officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Jones Funeral Service assisted the family.
