Francis L. Rosenthal, 73, 1009 Gale St., Oconto passed away March 22, 2001 at his home. Francis was born June 3, 1927 at Manawa, WI to the late Fred and Ursula Le-Mense Rosenthal. He married Betty Newbury August 28, 1948. He worked at Badger Paper Mill, Peshtigo for 43 years, retiring in 1989.

He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish. Francis is survived by his wife Betty; two daughters Cheryl Scanlan, Oconto; Lisa Rosenthal, Green Bay; two sons Rodney 'Rusty' Chris Rosenthal, Houston, Texas; Greg Rosenthal, Oconto; a brother, Joseph Verne Rosenthal, Salt Lake City, Utah; two sisters Germaine William Zebrasky, Brownsberg, IN; Alvera Spangenberg, Marinette; six grandchildren Steven, Jeffrey and Melanie Scanlan, Jennifer Elwood, Lisa and Chad Linders; a great-granddaughter, Samantha Elwood.

His parents; three brothers Theodore, Lester and Edward; two sisters Lucy Hart and Mary Jandrey preceded him in death. Friends called Sunday at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, where a parish wake service was held.

Mass of Christian Burial was conducted 10 a.m. Monday, March 26, at Holy Trinity Parish with Rev. David C. Ruby officiating. Burial at Oconto Catholic Cemetery.
