Mrs. Fannie E. Tuttle, 83, a resident of the town of Oconto Falls most of her life, passed away at a local nursing home on Saturday. Mrs. Tuttle was born February 16, 1884 in West Salem, Wisconsin, the daughter of John and Harriet Goddard. On June 3, 1907 she was united in marriage to the late Herbert R. Tuttle, and to this union four children were born. The Tuttle family was engaged in farming in the Oconto Falls area for many years, and in 1961 retired and moved to Suamico.
Mrs. Tuttle was a Charter member of the W.S.C.S. Methodist Church in Oconto Falls, and was the "Woman of the Year" the second year of this special membershipawards.
Mrs. Tuttle is survived by three daughters, Mrs. George (Edna) Riebe of Suamico, Mrs. Gordon (Doris) Brown of Heidleberg, Germany, and Miss Ellen Tuttle of Chicago, Illinois, one son Gilbert of Salem, Wisconsin, one brother Eugene Goddard of Oconto Falls, and one sister, Mrs. Thurman (Beth) Bailey of Appleton, plus 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Soulek Funeral Home in Oconto Falls, with the Rev. Patrick Green of Suamico officiating. Burial was on the family plot of the Woodlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers were George Riebe, Kenneth Riebe, Richard Riebe, Earl Kamie…
