Funeral rites were conducted by the Rev. R. L. Greene of the Methodist church for Frederick Gidney of Kelly Lake at the Crooks-Flatley Funeral Home on Thursday afternoon. The casket was borne to its resting place in the Hickory Cemetery by Messrs. Allen McMahon, James Pecard, Jos. McNally, Charles Hoffman, Max Gruber and William Broetzman. The floral tributes were in charge of Mrs. Allen McMahon, Mrs. Hoffman and Mrs. Pecard.

Mr. Gidney had been ill for the past three years and died at the local hospital. He is survived by his wife, 2 daughters, one son, 2 nieces and a nephew.
