The former city alderman was born Nov. 13, 1889 in Oconto and resided in the community his entire lifetime. He was united in marriage with Gertrude (Belle) Barribeau Sept. 1, 1914 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, and worked for Oconto Company and Holt Hardwood Company until his retirement in 1955.
Survivors are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Elaine Phillips of Oconto, one son, John of Oconto, and three grandchildren, Mrs. Richard Lorenz of Hyattsville, Maryland and Robert Pecor of Oconto and Kenneth Pecor of the U. S. Navy, based in Orlando, Florida.
Prayer services was held at the John Crooks funeral home Monday evening, and final rites were conducted at St. Peters Catholic church Tuesday morning, the Rev. Philip Hoffmann officiating. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robert Gillis, Lawrence Laviolette, Francis Pecor, Leonard Pecor, Clement Surprise and Cortland Surprise.
