He was born on December 20, 1901 in Oconto to the late George and Fanny Barribeau. In 1942 he moved to Milwaukee and resided there till 1998, then settled in Appleton until his death. He was a sheet metal worker for many years in Milwaukee. He enjoyed baseball, fishing and playing the banjo in bands in Oconto and Milwaukee.
He is survived by two daughters Carol Theiss of Appleton, Magdalen Carley of Sun City, AZ; a son and two daughters-in-law, Donald (Delores) Barribeau and Barbara Barribeau, Milwaukee; nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Emma (Buettner) Barribeau; an infant daughter, Charmaine; a son, Francis Jr., a son-in-law, Cy Theiss; a grandson, Bradley Theiss; five brothers, six sisters, many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, 121 Chicago St., Oconto from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, November 21. Funeral service 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home with Father David C. Ruby officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
