Francis E. Hynes, age 76, died Feb. 11, 1990, at Mercy Hospital. He was born April 2, 1913, in Oconto, WI, the son of James and Matilda (Desteage) Hynes. He married Melba Kelm on Feb 11, 1939, in Green Bay. He worked at General Motors for 33 years retiring in 1976 as a material handler. He was a member of the UAW #95.

He is survived by his wife, Melba, two sons, James (Donna) of Green Bay, WI, and Richard (Sandra) of Cambridge, WI, two daughters Donna (David) Buttke of Janesville and Rita (Edward) Hensel of rural Monroe, 14 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren, and 1 brother Marvin (Cathrine) Hynes of Madison. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by 1 brother, John.

Funeral services will be Tuesday evening, Feb 12, at 7:30 P.M. at the Whitcomb-Hansen Funeral Home with Fr. Bill McBride officiating. Burial will be in Oconto Catholic cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00 until the time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
