Edna Y. Bahr, age 84, of 1250 S. Evergreen St. Shawano, died Sunday, December 24, 2000 at Shawano. She was born July 21, 1916 in Underhill, the daughter of the late Gottlieb and Bertha (Wilke) Yanke. She was married February 22, 1936 in Underhill to Herbert Bahr. He preceded her in death on January 27, 1976. She and her husband farmed in the Town of Green Valley until she moved to Shawano in 1978.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Pulcifer. She enjoyed sewing and dancing. Edna is survived by; two sons, Marvin (Barbara) Bahr of Gresham, Allen Bahr of Green Bay; two grandchildren, Arvin (Vicki) Bahr, Arthur (Cherly) Bahr; and two great grandsons, Daniel and Joshua. She was prededed in death by one grandson, one sister and four brothers. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 28 at 11 am at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. Timothy Lamkin and the Rev. John Laatsch officiating. Burial will be in the spring in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano after 10 am on Thursday until the time of services.
