She was born February 24, 1913, in Oconto to the late Charles and Elizabeth (Mueller) Werth. She was a life long resident of Oconto. On June 10, 1939 she married Victor H. Riewe at the First American Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death August 9, 1989. She was a graduate of Oconto High School, class of 1931. Mrs. Riewe was an active member of First American Lutheran Church where she was a choir member, member of a Bible study group, past president of the Ladies Aid and past secretary of Naomi Circle. She had been employed at the Marinette Knitting Mill and Lauerman's department store.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen (Larry) Fritz, Mauston; two sons, Tom (Julie) Riewe, Madison; John (Cindy) Riewe, Green Bay; a brother-in-law, Alvin (Neva) Riewe, Fort Myers, FL; three sisters-in-law, Vera Orth, Charlotte Harbor, FL; Aleta Riewe, Hilliard, OH; Alice Lemorande, Green Bay; four grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; three sisters, Eleanor Tittlie, Ethel Finger and Helen Nerenhausen; and an infant son, James.
Friends called at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto. Funeral service was conducted 2 p.m. Sunday at the First American Lutheran Church, Oconto with Rev. Richard DeBenedetto officiating. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
