She was born January 12, 1919, in the town of Lena, to the late James and Mary (Knedlhans) Wondrash. On October 23, 1940, Evelyn married Gordon Kulhanek at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Spruce. He preceded her in death July 5, 1977. She retired from Central Tool Co., Oconto Falls. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Gillett and the Altar Society. Evelyn is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Jim Peetz, Suring; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gordon and Anndrea, Green Bay; Donald and Corrine, Omaha, NE; one brother and sister-in-law, Alvin and Clarice Wondrash, Lena; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Jack; one sister, Caroline Fait; and two brothers, Clarence and Ben Wondrash.
Friends called at the Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett, Sunday, from 4 to 8 p.m. where a prayer service was held. Funeral Mass of Christian burial was conducted ll a.m. Monday, January 10, 2000, at St. John Catholic Church, Gillett, with the Rev. John M. Gallagher officiating. Interment in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, town of Spruce.
