He was born Oct. 8, 1901, in Oconto Falls, and was a lifetime resident. He married the former Mary Konitzer there Nov. 27,1923. She died June 28, 1982. He owned and operated a dairy farm there, until retiring in 1971. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
He is survived by two sons, George of Two Rivers and Edward Jr. of Menasha; four daughters, Geraidine "Jerry" Gagnon and Elaine Schaai, both of Rhinelander, Evelyn Delveaux and JoAnne Kardoskee, both of Oconto Falls; two sisters, Julia Konitzer and Josephine Spice, both of Oconto Falls; 28 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.
A daughter, two brothers and a sister died previously.
Friends called at Jones Funeral Service. Oconto Falls, where a prayer service was held. Final rites were held Saturday at the church. The Rev. Michael Clifford officiated. Burial in the church cemetery.
