GILLETT Edwin "Ed" Weier, age 93, Gillett, died Sunday morning, August 15, 1999 at Community Memorial Hospital, Oconto Falls.

He was born September 14, 1905, in Oconto Falls, to the late John and Julia (Kline) Weier.

On April 12,1931, Ed married Lucille Wood. She preceded him in death April 19, 1997.

He had been employed by the former Gillett Implement. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Gillett; and a former member of the City of Gillett Volunteer Fire Dept., and the Gillett Sportsmen's Club.

Ed is survived by two daughters: Anita Weier and her special friend, Al Schimmer, Waukesha; Lois Belter, Luxemburg; one daughter-in-law Sylvia Weier Kahler, Gillett, two brothers and one sister-in-law: Henry add May, Klondike; Ray, Ore., two sisters and one brother-in-law; Louise Mirkes, Fl., Elenore and Harry Dunn, Mountain Home; 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Vincent; four sisters and one brother.

Friends may call at St. John Catholic Church, Gillett, after 9.00 A.M. Wednesday Funeral Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 18, at the church with the Rev. John M. Gallagher officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorials have been suggested for St. John Catholic Church, Gillett.
