Edward "Ted" DUFFY

Edward "Ted" DUFFY, 89, 3223 county EE, Abrams, died Saturday morning, July 31, 1999 at home.

Edward was born November 16, 1909 in Chase to Thomas and Dora (ROGERS) DUFFY. He was raised in the Towns of Chase and Morgan and in his early teens, sailed the Great Lakes and did community farm work. On August 9, 1941 he married Iris NICHOLSON in Manitowoc. Ted started farming in the Town of Morgan in 1939 and continued to farm for 46 years until his retirement. Ted and Iris moved to Abrams in 1983 and have lived there since. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Abrams. Ted enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid golfer.

Survivors include his wife, Iris, five sons and four daughters-in-law, Eugene and Barb DUFFY of Pound and their family, Randy (Diane) DUFFY, Justine (Barry) TOPEL, Rick (Debbie) DUFFY; James and Karen DUFFY of Oconto and their family, Joe (Tammy), Coreen (Luke) LEMORANDE, Becky (Alex) GOLOMBEK; Dennis and Marilyn DUFFY, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Frank and Theresa DUFFY, Sheboygan and their family, Adam and Daniel; Robert DUFFY, Denver, Colorado; ten great grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Dustin, Bret, Brandon, Jacob, Blake, Tiffany, Stephanie and Chasidy; two sisters, Genevieve PARMETER of Wisconsin Rapids and Dorothy KONITZER of Oconto Falls.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Frank, and two sisters, Mayme and Kitty.

Vistation was held at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, with prayer service Monday at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Louis Catholic Church in Abrams with Fr. Gerald Prusakowski officiating. Burial in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, Oconto Falls.
