Elsie Winkler age 89, was born to eternal life, Thursday morning, Sept.
16, 1999, at her home following a brief battle with cancer.
She was born March 28, 1910, in Gillett, to the late William and Natalie
(Wesner) Siech.

On June 28,1937, Elsie married Edward Winkler in Milwaukee. The couple
resided in Milwaukee until 1944, when they moved to Gillett. Ed preceded
her in death Jan. 13, 1969. She was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran
Church, Gillett, and the WELCA. She was a volunteer at the Gillett Meal
Site.

Elsie was a devoted mother to: Gerald and Karen, Gillett; Eloise Luell,
Brown Deer; Linda Winkler, Elm Grove; a loving grandmother to Jeff
Winkler, Gillett, Jill (Jim) Trochta, Suring; Jacqueline (Jeff) Konop,
Grafton; Jon (Debbie) Winkler, Mt.Horeb; Jancile (Michael) Anderson,
Oconto Falls; a loving great grandmother to: John and Molly Trochta;
alex and Meghan Konop; Jonathon Winkler; a loving sister to: Walter
Siech, Alfred Siech, both of Sheboygan; Alma Fisher, Pauline Milhans;
Frieda Siech, all of Gillett; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many
friends.

Elsie was also preceded in death by four brothers; John, Bernard, Irvin
and Gust Siech; one sister Betty Siech; one son-in-law, Richard Luell. 
The funeral was held Sat., Sept. 18, at the church with the Rev. Dennis
Nelson officiating. Internment in Wanderers Rest Cemetery, Gillett.
Kuehl Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
A memorial fund has been established for S. John Ev. Lutheran Church,
Gillett.

Honorary Pallbearer was Jeff Winkler, Active pallbearers were Vic
Milhans, Bill Fisher, Jon Winkler, Jim Trochta, Jeff Konop and Michael
Anderson.
