The former Emma Steffeck was born January 26, 1903, in the Town of Spruce, the daughter of the late Frank and Katherine (Neta) Steffeek. Earlier in her life Emma was a teacher. She married Frank Stupinski, June 10, i924, at Sacred Heart Church, Town of Spruce. The couple farmed in the Town of Spruce for many years. Her husband preceded her in death in 1973. She was longtime member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Lena. Emma very much enjoyed cooking sewing, gardening and her family.
Surviving are two sisters, Cecelia Geary and Theresa Steffeck, Lena; a sister-in-law, Suzanne Steffeck, Lena; nieces and nephews; special friends, Myron and Rose Janik, Lena.
Emma was preceded in death by two brothers, Alec and Victor, and a nephew, Tom Steffeek. Friends called at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Lena from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 1999. Funeral mass was 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. The Rev. Paul Schumacher officiated. Interment at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery. Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Lena assisted the family.
