Erna Rose Retrum, 84, formerly of Oconto, died Sunday, June 29 at St. Mary's Hospital in Green Bay of Parkinson's Disease.

Born April 23, 1919 in Peshtigo to the late Mr. and Mrs. Emil (Bertha Smith) Schoenfeldt, she married Kenneth Retrum on April 22, 1939. He preceded her in death Oct. 17, 1998. She was a member of First American Lutheran Church, Oconto.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Erv (Donna) Limberg of Lakewood, Mrs. Bill (Carmen) Ehlers of Townsend, Mrs. Leon (Nancy) Mocco of Abrams, Mrs. Gregory (Judith) Staponkus of Elkhorn; two sons, Darryl (Rose) Retrum of Lake Zurich, Ill., Scott (Vickie) Retrum of Green Bay; a sister, Olive Schroeder of Peshtigo; a sister-in-law, Amy Retrum; brothers-in-law, Allan Retrum and Norman Tonn; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and special friend, Clarice Athey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; sister, Lucille Heroux; infant sister; sisters-in-law, Van Bauman and Helen Tonn; and brothers-in-law, Omar Bauman, Russell Retrum, Jules Heroux and Ferd Schroeder.

Friends may call at the First American Lutheran Church, Oconto, from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 6. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the church with Intern Jeff Knoll officiating. Her cremains will be buried at Evergreen Cemetery. Gallagher Funeral Home is serving the family.
