The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Marian Stonebrook was born November 17, 1917 at Houghton, MI. She was a music teacher at College Universities and High School Academies in the Midwest and the East Coast. Esther was married to Pastor LaVern Pomeroy on August 12, 1938 in Dollar Bay, MI. The couple have lived at Thunder Mountain Rd., Crivitz for the last 25 years. Esther was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Lena.
Survivors include her husband, Pastor LaVern Pomeroy of Crivitz; two sons, Liston (Ann) Pomeroy of Denver, CO and Lowell Pomeroy of Holtville, CA; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers Vincent, Ivan, and Kenneth Stonebrook.
Friends may call at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday and after 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Michael L. Russell officiating. Interment will be in Underhill Cemetery, Gillett.
