Edward R. LAUERSDORF, 93, Gillett, WI, died Saturday evening, February 20, 1999, at Woodland Village Nursing Home of Suring, WI.
He was born March 23, 1905, in the Town of Maple Valley (WI) to the late Ferdinand and Ernestina (NOSSKE) LAUERSDORF. On September 30, 1934, he married the former Arlene GEHM. She preceded him in death on March 27, 1993. Ed enjoyed farming his entire life. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Gillett. He was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball and football.
Survivors include two daughters, Karyl ZAHN of Gillett and Karyn (Bert) SCHWANTES of Dodgeville, WI, two granddaughters, Kim (Tom) HERZOG and Candance SCHWANTES, (finance, Bob ANDERSON); one grandson, Brett (Debra) ZAHN; two great-grandchilddren, Derek and Brian ZAHN; one sister, Clara RIEGERT; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Gary, in 1961; one son-in-law, Nolan ZAHN; four sisters and three brothers.
Visitation was held from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett. Funeral services were held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23, at Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett, Rev. Dennis N. Nelson officiating. Interment will be in Wanderer's Rest Cemetery, Gillett.
