OCONTO - Esther (Kahr) Stenklyft, 87, 10l First St., passed away March 15, 1999. The former Esther Peterson was born July 4, 1911 at Armstrong, to the late Thomas and Loretta Peterson. Esther married Walter (Puss) Kahr, he preceded her In death in 1973. She married Hilding Stenklyft, he preceded her in death in 1993. Esther was a sewing machine operator at Great Lake Shoe Co. and Elliott Glove Co. for 40 years. She was a member of Royal Neighbors of America.

Survivors include a daughter, Darlene (Sterling) Hodgins, Green Bay; a sister, Viola Crossman, Green Bay; four grandchildren, Robin (Bill) Jolly, Tammy (Joel) WeSterfeld, Tina Hodgins, Chad Hodgins, all of Green Bay; four great-grandchildren, Brian, Kevin, Adam and Morgan. Also nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands and a grandson, Richard Hodgins.

Friends may call at Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 1999. Funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard DeBenedetto officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery .

A memorial fund has been established for the First American Lutheran Church.
