Mrs. Edward (Esther) Gooding, 94, Green Bay, died Wednesday March 29, 2000 at a local hospital after a brief illness. Born in Oconto, September 13, 1905 she is the daughter of the late John and Mary (VanBovan) Maloney. She married the late Fred Mohr in 1926 and he preceded her in death March 16, 1966. Esther then married Edward Gooding May 24, 1947 and he preceded her in death November 10, 1988.

She was a lifetime member of Saints Peter and Paul Church. Esther loved gardening, especially her roses.

She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law; Marion Kurth, Lois and Bob Marcott, all of Green Bay; two sons and daughters-in-law; Roger and Patricia Mohr of Green Bay; Donald and Dorothy Mohr of Townsend; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by spouse, two sons-in-law; Milton Kurth and Ervin Peerenboom, three brothers and six sisters.

Friends may call at MALCORE Funeral Home, University Ave at Baird Street from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Today and prior to the funeral on Friday. Parish wake service 7 p.m. Today. Funeral service Friday 10 a.m. at the funeral home with the Reverend John G. Van Der Horst officiating. Entombment at Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
