Eloise L. Svejda, 63, Lena passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, at her home in the presence of her loving children. She was born to Paul and Saba (Ausloos) Rosera, May 4, 1938 in Lena. Eloise married Vernon Shallow April 27, 1957. He preceded her in death July 26, 1989. Eloise later married Gerald Svejda June 17, 1995. Gerald preceeded her in death June 8, 1998. Eloise enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed ballroom dancing, polka dancing, sewing and collecting antiques. Eloise was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Lena.

Surviving are her Mother Saba Rosera, Lena; six children, Kathy (Myron) Hodkiewicz, Lena; Lois (Jerome) Stodola, Lena, Jackie (Terry) Hallada, Coleman; Tom (Lisa) Shallow; Lisa Staidl, Lena; Paul (Donna) Shallow, Lena; nine grandchildren; four sisters, Mary (Bob) Joyce, St. Cloud, Minn.: Rita (John) Scheffen, Lena; twin sister, Elaine (David) Demro, Green Bay; and Bernadette (Rafael) Rodriquez, Johnson City, Tenn.

She was preceeded in death by her father, Paul Rosera; infant sister, Francis Marie; and four brothers, Father Milton Rosera, Ervin, Alfred and Donald Rosera.

Friends may call at Rhodes Charapata Funeral Home, Lena, Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001, from 4 to 8 p.m. with a Parish vigil Service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday at the funeral home from 9 to 10:30 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be held Monday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Lena, at 11 a.m. with Father Harold Beerntsen officiating.
