Mrs. Wm. McAllister Died Saturday
Was a Resident of Oconto County for Fifty -Six Years
Funeral Held Tuesday, July 17th from Late Home

A highly respected resident of Leighton, Mrs. Wm. McAllister, passed away at her home Saturday evening at 11:45 p.m. after a prolonged illness of six months.

Deceased was born in Maine, November 9, 1857, and came to Leighton three years later with her parents and resided with them until February 1878, when she married William McAllister and has lived on a farm near her old home ever since. She is survived by her husband, three daughters Mrs. James (Margaret) Devereaux of Stiles, Ida and Beth, five sons, Angus of Walla Walla, Wash., Thomas of Oconto, and Roy and Edwin; also by sixteen grandchildren.

The funeral was held Tuesday, July 17th, at 1:30 o'clock from her late home, Rev. Hood of Waukesha assisted by Rev. Parker of Couillardville and Rev. Holzer of Pound officiating, with interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
