EUGENE K. RUSCH, 71, n7714 state Rd., Black Creek, died unexpectedly early Thursday morning, January 13, 2000, at the New London Medical Center.
He was born June 29, 1928, in Maple Valley Township, Oconto Co., son of the late Otto and Lizzie (Luebke) Rusch. On May 16, 1970, he was united in marriage to Della (Moeller) Dey. Eugene was employed at Miller Electric for 22 years. Prior to this he farmed near Gillett. He was a member of Cicero Immanuel Lutheran Church where he served on the Church Council. He was a past volunteer fireman for Cicero Township. Eugene was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing trips to Canada, and loved gardening. He enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Della; his children: Julie Dey (Bert) Poi, Black Creek; Marlyn (Miranda) Dey, Shiocton; Jayne (Gerald) Zuleger, Seymour; Richard (Georgia) Dey, New London; Willis (Wendy) Dey, Oshkosh; David (Martha) Dey, California; . 14 grandchildren and a great-step-grandchild; two sisters, Florence (Art) Winkler, Underhill; Olivia Herning, Gillett; a sister-in- law, Bertha Rusch, Gillett; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Friends called at Cicero Immanuel Lutheran Church Monday From 10 a.m. until services at 1 p.m. with Rev. Brad Pearson officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, assisted the family.
