Death Claims Area Resident

PENSAUKEE-- Mrs. Elizabeth Ziesmer, 97, long time Pensaukee resident, died at her home Monday evening. She had been in failing health for a year.

Born in Germany May 11, 1870 she came to American with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jahnke, in 1883, settling in Abrams and Stiles. The Former Elizabeth Jahnke was married to Charles Ziesmer in Stiles in 1889. The couple moved to Pensaukee in 1893. Her husband died in 1928.

Mrs. Ziesmer was a member of the Ladies Aid and the First American Lutheran Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Emma Hundt of DePere and Mrs. Gladys Werth of Milwaukee; four sons, Carl of Oconto, Herber of Nalcrest, Fla., Arnold of Milwaukee and Raymond of Pensaukee. A daughter, two sons and seven grandchildren preceded her in death.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Gallagher funeral home until 11 a.m. Thursday with services scheduled at 2 p.m. at the First American Lutheran Church with the Rev. Frederick Mai officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery.
