Mrs. Eliza Jane Grosse, wife of G.A. Grosse Sr., passed away peacefully at her home in Little Suamico, Wednesday, Jan. 25, 1911. Deceased has been a patient suffered for the past 20 years from chronic bronchitis. She and the husband who survives her were pioneer residents of the town having lived there the past 54 years.
Mrs. Grosse was of a noble, conscientious patient & kindly nature &
strong character. Her fore thought & sympathy for all around her up to
the last moment was remarkable. She is survived by her husband, 5
daughters, Mrs. Otto Vieth of Marinette, Mrs. Adolph Witte of Chicago,
Mrs. Frank Allen, Jr., Mrs. Ed Constance, & Laura Grosse, and 2 sons,
G.A. Grosse, Jr., & Geo. Grosse all of Little Suamico, Mrs. Edwidge
Plouff & Mrs. Herman Vieth of this city are sisters of the deceased. The
funeral will be held Saturday at 10 o'clock at St. Pius Church".
