Esther M. Bushey

Esther M. Bushey, 88, formerly of Green Bay, died Friday, April 9, 2010. She was born April 4, 1922, in Michigan, to Richard and Margaret (Scherer) Jaeger. In 1942, Esther married Lionel Bushey. Esther served in the U.S. Army. She was a member of the Pocahontas Club and the Esther’s Club in Virginia. She loved to travel, enjoyed reading and books on tape, sewing and crocheting.

Survivors include seven children and their spouses, Lionel and Barbara Bushey II, Elizabeth and Patrick Culligan, Richard and Jeanne Bushey, Roberta and Carlos Alvarez, Daniel and Paula Bushey, David and Eleftheria Bushey, Edward and Michele Bushey; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth Melegari, Martha Mogensen, Alta Daley; two brothers, Richard (Ruth) Jaeger, Daniel Jaeger; and a sister-in-law, Beatrice “Honey” Bushey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Lionel.

A memorial fund has been established in her name.

The family extends a thank you to the staff at Parkside Care Center of Little Chute for their wonderful care. This was Esther’s home for the past 4 ½ years.
