Mr. Elhart J. Borkovec, 83, Lena died Thursday August 2, 2001 at Sharpe Care. He was born on June 7, 1918 in Lena to the late Joseph and Rose (Hallada) Borkovec. He married the former Ruth Eaton in Winchendon, MA on May 10, 1941. She preceded him in death in 1984. He farmed most of his life in Lena. He worked in the lumber mills in New Hampshire, at Frigo's, and the Bond Pickle factory. For 27 years before retiring he worked at KI as a press operator. Elhart enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his children Diane (Dale) Netzer, Lena; Bonnie Trepanier and Bob Radzinski, Oconto; Gary Borkovec and Crystal Notz, Gillett; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Roman (Joan) Borkovec, Burlington; sisters-in-law Doris Borkovec, Oconto; Jean Borkovec, Peshtigo; Arlene Borkovec, Hermisten, OR; Julia Borkovec, Shorewood; Gert Wood, Auburn, NH; Grace Hrycana, Candia, NH; two brothers-in-law, George (Edie) Eaton, Auburn, NH; Harlan (June) Eaton, Auburn, NH. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Cheryl; two sisters Genevieve Rentmester, and Gladys Hayes; four brothers Clarence, Ervin, Orville, and Norman.

Friends called at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Lena from 10 a.m. until time of service Sunday August 5. Funeral service was held 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Father David C. Ruby officiating. Burial followed at the Town of Lena Cemetery.
