He was born July 21, 1914 in Spruce to Joseph and Christine (Shipla) Housner. He attended Oconto Falls public schools, graduating from high school with the class of 1933. On August 20, 1950 he married Lucille Elver in Oconto Falls. Mr. Housner lived in the Oconto Falls area for most of his life, where he was employed as a custodian in the high school for many years. At one time he served on the city council.
Survivors include his wife Lucille; one daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Randy Miller, Silver, Cliff; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Paul and Debbie Housner, Austin, TX; Brad Housner, Orange, CA; Craig and Nina Housner, Green Bay; eight grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Marie Judd, Madison.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Friends may call at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls from 4 until 7 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jodi Arpke-Lone officiating. Burial in Volk Family Cemetery, Oconto Falls.
