OCONTO - Edith E. Lange, formerly of West Bend, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 1999, at her son's home in Green Bay, at the age of 88. She was born on June 13, 1911, in LaMoure, N.D., to the late Rhinehold and Minni (nee Edwards) Hiller. She was married to Erin A. Lange, Sr. on Oct. 29, 1934, in Watertown. There Edith worked as a switchboard operator for the Telephone Company. The couple moved to West Bend in 1975. Her husband preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 1982. In 1991, she moved to Oconto where she lived until moving to her son's home in Green Bay, in Feb. 1999. She was formerly an active member of Trinity-Lutheran Church, West Bend, belonging to the Dorcas Society and the Ladies Aid. She was currently a member of First American Lutheran Church, Oconto.
She is survived by a son, Ervin A. (Janice) Lange II, Green Bay; a grandson, Ervin A. (Christa) Lange III, West Bend, a great-grandson Michael Ervin Lange, West Bend; a sister, Mary Kuckkan, Watertown; a sister-in-law, Alice Hiller, Watertown; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, George Hiller and Walter Hiller.
The funeral was held Fri., Aug. 27 at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend. Burial at Glenview Memorial Gardens, Ixonia.
