OCONTO FALLS - A lifetime resident of Oconto County, Mrs. Emily Kain, 88, of Gillett, died Saturday, Dec. 11, at Commun­ity Memorial Hospital, Oconto Falls. Death followed a short illness.

The former Emily Goion was born Feb. 23, 1888, at Oconto Falls. She was married to Edwin Kain on May 2, 1905. He died on Nov. 20. 1966.

Mrs. Kain was a member of the Women's Society of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. R.D. Ingram, Mrs. Joseph VanPay, M Luke Bischoff and Mrs. Angelas Morler Englewood, Fla.; Mrs. George L. Trevor of Aurora, Colo., and Mrs. Milton Christensen, Suring; two sons, Byron of Louisville, Ky., and Norman Lee of Santee, Calif,

Also two sisters. Mrs. Earl Clark and Mrs. Roy Kain, of Appleton; 23 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and two great-great­grandchildren. A son, Edwin Jr., died previously.

Friends called at the Soulek Funeral home on Tuesday. Final rites were held there Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Sweitzer officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery,
