Elizabeth "Bessie" Jorgensen, 89, of 167 Van Dyke, Oconto, died Sunday
September 5, 1999 at Bay Lake Medical Center, Marinette. Elizabeth was
born August 7,1910 in Red Granite to the late Charles and Anna (Petersen)
Gill. She married Ralph Jorgensen June 7, 1934. he preceded her in death
March 8, 1978. Elizabeth loved playing card games, traveling, crocheting,
reading and spending time with her pets and especially her family.
Elizabeth was a member of the First American Lutheran Church and Order of
the Eastern Star. Elizabeth is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Ann
(Duke) Duket, Oconto; two sons, Gene (Mary) Jorgensen, cambridge, WI; Jim
Jorgensen and special friend Sandy, Wausaukee; six grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, J.D.
Esting Gill, Arden Gill and one sister, Frances Cotanch.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the First American Lutheran Church,
Oconto, from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday September 9, 1999. Funeral services
will be conducted with the Rev. Richard DeBenedetto officiating. The
Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, is assisting the family.
