Edward R. Fish, 82, 202 Meadow Rd., Oconto Falls, died early Sunday morning, March 21, 1999, at Sharpe Care, Ltd.
He was born Sept. 28, 1916, in Menominee, Mich., to Francis and Mary (Stodola) Fish. He grew up in Menominee and later graduated from high school there. On June 29, 1940, he married Eleanora Zoellner in Menominee. Following their marriage the couple lived in Marinette and in 1943, Ed entered the US Air Force where he served in the Philippines during World War II. In 1951, the couple moved to Oconto Falls, where Ed was employed as a superintendent for the Scott Paper Co.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Nancy Fish of Oconto Falls; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ann and Michael Larsen of Neenah and Kathy Lynn and Robert Maxwell of Nekoosa; six grandchildren, Katherine and Jennifer Larsen; Stephanie Maxwell, Rebecca Emily and Abby Fish; two sisters, Emma Farrell and Elizabeth Aargarrd, both of Marinette.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Eleanora on Oct. 19, 1976.
Private family services with the body present were held Monday at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls. Cremation will take place with burial of the urn in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oconto Falls.
