Mrs. Elizabeth DonLevy, widow of the late James DonLevy, passed away on
Wednesday morning, after a protracted illness, the last year of which
she was confined to her bed. Her husband and their son William died
about a year ago. Mrs. DonLevy was in her 78th year and had lived in
Oconto with her family since August 1856, having at that time come here
from Geneva, N.Y.
She was highly
esteemed by a large circle of friends and neighbors, who deplore her
death, the deferred long beyond the three score and tens years.
Six sons - James A., Homer, Peter, George, Albert and Frank - and a
daughter Mrs. Lizzie Waggoner of Green Bay survive her. Funeral
services were conducted by the Rev. Fr. Lochman, at St. Joseph's Church,
this morning, and the body of the deceased was escorted to its last
resting place by a large concourse of people.
