Mr. Desreumaux operated the O'Neill furniture store and funeral service in Oconto Falls for several years. Two years ago he sold the business to the Soulek Funeral Home. He had been in semi-retirement the past few years.
He was an active member of the Oconto Falls Kiwanis Club and the Junior Association of Commerce, the Holy Name Society of St. Anthony's Church, the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. He served with the armed forces in World War I.
His wife, the former Eimna (?) Luisier, died last April 15. The same men who served as funeral services for Mrs. Desreumaux will be the pallbearers for her husband's funeral. They are Frank Plain, Conrad Gerharz, Ernest Seigler, Jacob Bohl, Leo Jolinski and Alfred Gainier.
The body will lie in state at the Soulek Funeral Home after 7 o'clock tonight. Members of the parish will say the Rosary Thursday at 8 p. m. and the Knight of Columbus at 9. Funeral services will be said by the Rev Francis Melchior at St. Anthony's, Friday at 9:30 a. m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Desreumaux was born Sept. 28, 1895 in Wausau, but moved to Oconto Falls at an early age.
Survivors are a daughter, Doris and son, Dan, at home; four brothers, Arthur Desreumaux, Oconto Falls, Ernest Desreumaux, Chicago, Theodore and Ralph O'Neill, both of Oconto Falls; two sisters, Mrs. Elmer John, Wauwatosa and Mrs. Mel Crooks, Green Bay.
