Born Feb. 20, 1897 in Winneconne, the former Edna Dobberke came to Morgan as a school teacher at the age of 16. She married Reinhard Birr on Nov. 20, 1919 and the couple have resided at the current address since that time. She was a charter member of the United Methodist Church Ladies Aid at Morgan.
Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Lois Rehn, Suamico, and Mrs. Carol Schroeder, Route 2, Oconto Falls; two sons, Nathan, Route 2, Oconto Falls, and Robert, Pulaski; 14 grandchildren; two brothers, Alfred Dobberke, Neenah, and Roy, Oshkosh, and two sisters, Mrs. Loretta Miller, Neenah.
At Soulek Funeral Home, Oconto Falls, after 2 o'clock today. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at United Methodist Church, Morgan, with the Rev. Lester Thiel in charge. Burial will be in the Town of Morgan Cemetery. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
