Mrs. James (Dee) McFadden, 73, formerly of Oconto died Saturday morning, February 19, 2000 at St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center, Green Bay.

The former Edith 'Dee' Clark, was born March 16, 1926, the daughter of the late Russell and Edith Clark. On December 15, 1946, Dee was united in marriage to James A. McFadden, Sr. The couple owned and operated the Blue Moon Tavern at Oconto until moving to Green Bay. Prior to that, Dee worked for S.O.S. in Clearing, IL, was a waitress, and did Home Health Care. She lovingly cared for her husband Jim who was in ill health in his later years. He preceded her in death on April 12, 1999. She was an auxillary member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #401 at Green Bay.

She will be lovingly remembered by two sons, James, Jr. (Karen), County Line and Gary (Chris), Porterfield; two daughters, Judy (David) Wendt, Hector, MN; Patti (Rory) Knippel, Sobieski; four brothers, Paul (Joan), Herald, Jerry, and Art Clark; two sisters, Esther Reginous and Mary McDonald; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild on the way; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Marge McFadden and Robert, Sr. and Donna McFadden, Oconto; David McFadden, Panarama City, CA, John and Yvonne McFadden, Green Bay; Wilhelmina Malloy, Walkill, NY; Florence Hayes, Eleanor and Terrence Bendt, and Darlene and George Skarban, Oconto; Estella and Regis Gentz, Milwaukee.

Dee was preceded in death by two sons, Timothy and Russell, a brother, Henry Clark, brothers-in-law, William and Stanley McFadden, Stanley Nikiel, Bob Reginous, a great granddaughter, Elizabeth Martin, and a special grandson, Jay Jonet.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, 121 Chicago Street, Oconto from 4 until 9 PM Wednesday, February 23, 2000 and after 10 AM Thursday February 24, 2000 at Oconto United Methodist Church. Service of Christian Burial 11 AM Thursday at the Church. The Rev. Frederik W. Schulz officiating. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.
