Earl "Curly" Carriveau

Earl "Curly" Carriveau, 91, life long resident of the Town of Little River, died Saturday, December 27, 2003 at Rennes Health Center - West, Peshtigo.

He was born to the late Felix and Marie (Rouse) Carriveau December 13, 1912 in the Town of Little River. He married the former Eleanor Smith September 28, 1940 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Oconto. The couple farmed in the Town of Little River area for all of their married lives. Eleanor preceded Earl in death March 23, 1999. Earl was on the Board of the Oconto Milling Company for many years and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Oconto.

Surviving are 8 children, Gary (Kay), Suamico; Don (Margaret), Suamico; Lee, Madison; Clark (Linda), Suamico; Neil (Gail), DePere; Mary Ann (Cliff) Klimek, Peshtigo; Nancy (Jack) Finger, County Line; Barb (Roger) Polzin, Peshtigo; 19 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 6 brothers and sisters, Jack, Eleanor Huettl, Phyllis Dufek, LaVerne Ferris, Margaret Shaw and Beverly Mayford. Earl was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Lloyd and Russell and 4 sisters, Margaret, Blanche, Elaine and Doris.

He is also survived by special family friends, the Dean and Wanda Good family, Town of Little River. Friends and family may call at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, 121 Chicago Street, Oconto Monday December 29, 2003 from 4 - 8 P.M. Knights of Columbus services will be held at 6:30 P.M. Wake services, will be held at 7 PM. Visitation will continue Tuesday at the funeral home from 9 - 10 A.M. The Funeral Mass will be held at Holy trinity Catholic Church, Oconto, at 10:30 A.M, with Father David C. Ruby officiating. Interment at Oconto Catholic Cemetery, Oconto.
