Mrs. Elizabeth C. Whitcomb, an old resident of the town of Pensaukee, died at her home last Thursday, March 12, from a leakage of the mitral valve in the heart.
Elizabeth C. Barker was born in New Hampshire, March 6, 1849 and when three years of age came to Wisconsin. In 1866 she was married to Wallace Whitcomb, who preceded here to the great beyond.
She is survived by one daughter, Joyce, and four sons, Percy H., Abrams; Herb, who lives in North Dakota; Leslie, Duluth, Minn., and Eric, at home.
Funeral services were held from her late home and the Brookside Church Saturday, Rev. Kundy officiating and her remains followed to their last resting place in the Brookside cemetery by a large concourse of sorrowing friends and neighbors.
