SUBJECT HEART TROUBLE
Ailing About Four Years - Resided Brookside About Twenty Five Years -
Funeral Saturday
Emil Blies, a resident of Brookside for abut 25 years, expired suddenly yesterday afternoon about 1 o'clock, just after eating dinner. He had been subject to attacks of heart trouble for about four years and several times had fallen in attacks and remained unconscious for so long that his friends feared he would not recover. Yesterday after dinner he was stricken again and asked the family to help him out doors as he felt like suffocating but while they were helping him, he expired in their arms.
Mr. Blies was born in this state May 10, 1858 and came to Brookside where he has followed the trade of blacksmith. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Martin, a blacksmith at Cream City, and Eli at home and two daughters, Mrs. Henry Gerkie of the town of Little Suamico and Miss Myrtle at home.
The funeral will be held from the Brookside M. E. church at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, Rev. Ellis officiating, with interment in Brookside cemetery.
