Dale W. Brechlin, 58, Bellevue, died unexpectedly together with his wife from a fire in their home Wednesday evening, December 13, 2000.
Born in Waukesha on February 27, 1942, he is the son of Margaret (Bunker) and the late William Brechlin. Dale was a 1960 graduate of Don Bosco Catholic High School in Milwaukee and later graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with degrees in Geology and Accounting. On October 15, 1966, he married the former Sandra Lorang at St. Barbara's Catholic Church in Milwaukee. The couple lived in Milwaukee for many years moving to Green Bay in 1995. Dale worked for the City of Milwaukee and later was employed as a comptroller for MML Health Services, Inc. of Milwaukee. He retired in 1995 due to disability. Dale served as Town Supervisor for the Town of Bellevue from 1997-1999. He was an avid stamp collector and at one time was a part owner of a stamp store in Milwaukee. He had a great love and knowledge of computers. Dale's life revolved around his wife and two dogs (Toby and McDuff).
Survivors include his mother, Margaret Bieda of Oconto Falls; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Preceded in death by his father, William Brechlin in 1953; stepfather, Raymond Bieda in 1991; maternal and paternal grandparents. Friends called at West Mason Malcore Funeral Home, 1530 West Mason Street, Green Bay from 1 p.m. Sunday until the time of the memorial services. Memorial services were Sunday 4 p.m. at the funeral home with Father Patrick Gawrylewski, O.F.M. officiating.
