DeKeyser, Donna

Donna DeKeyser, 80, Oconto Falls, died early Wednesday morning, November 21, 2012 at home. She was born December 9, 1931 in the Town of Spruce to Louis and Anna (Massard) Tessier. Donna grew up in the Oconto Falls area where she attended school, graduating from Oconto Falls High School with the class of 1950.

On June 6, 1953 she married Orville M. Meyer and together they had five children. As a young woman, Donna attended nursing school and graduated with her degree as an LPN. Donna was employed as a nurse, mostly in the ER Department, at Community Memorial Hospital in Oconto Falls for over 25 years. On October 21, 1978 Donna married John "Jack" DeKeyser in Lake Tahoe, NV and the couple continued to live in Oconto Falls and enjoyed traveling together. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Oconto Falls and volunteered for the CMH Auxiliary following her retirement. Donna will be fondly remembered as a loving mother and grandmother as well as a caring nurse and a very dear friend to many people.

Survivors are her five children, Cindy Meyer, Woodland Park, CO; Bruce Meyer, Jody Meyer and Lisa (Dan Groth) Meyer, all of Oconto Falls; Jon (Bridget) Meyer, Castle Rock, CO; two grandchildren, Brooke Bostedt and Joshua Meyer; two stepdaughters, Sue DeKeyser, Cheri DeKeyser, and their families, all of Green Bay; one brother, Jerry (Edna Mae) Tessier, Athelstane; one sister, Lucille Judd, Sullivan, IL; one brother-in-law, David Nelson, Parker, AZ; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands, two brothers, Gordon and Sylvan Tessier and two sisters, Jean Valentine and Shirley Nelson.

Visitation will be held from 2-6pm Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls. Visitation will continue after 10am Monday, November 26, 2012 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Oconto Falls until the time of service. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am Monday at the church with the Rev. Fr. Joel Sember officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
