Dorothy A. Thisen Barribreau

Dorothy A. Barribreau, the former Dorothy A. Thisen, was born July 1, 1930 at Forestville, only daughter born to George and Agnes (Christensen) Thisen. Dorothy was employed in factory work much of her life. She had been employed by Paragen Electric, Two Rivers, Miller Canning, Fruit Growers, and Milwaukee Shoe, all of Sturgeon Bay, and Racine Glove, Oconto. On October 10l 1959, Dorothy was united in marriage to Bernard Barribeau at Forestville. The couple celebrated 40 happy years of marriage last fall.

Dorothy was a member of the First American Lutheran Church, Oconto and was an active member of the Oconto Amvets Post #63 Ladies Auxillary. She was a life member of the Post, and had served as secretary. She also served as the District President of the Ladies Auxillary. She loved animals, especially her dog, "Lady" who was her pride and joy.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Bernard, by three sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Mirium Crisler, Two Rivers, Dr. John and Mabel Buhl, Waukesha, and Shirley Fabry, Oconto; a special friend Sue Schwanz, Oconto; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many other close friends.

Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, LeRoy, four brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Catherine Barribeau, Jake Cisler, Edwin Sullivan, John Fabry, Orie and Mildred Nauman; and by a nephew, Stephen Pope.
