Donaid,T. Apill, 66,319.2 County Trunk C, Oconto Falls, died early Wednesday morning, January 13, 1999, at a Green Bay hospital following three months of treatment for liver cancer.

Donald was born June 29, 1932 in the town of Morgan to Maynard and Nora (Gaertig) Aprill. He graduated from Gillett High School with the class of 1950. On June 14, 1952 he married Velma Birr in Morgan. The couple has lived in the town of Morgan for most of their lives where they have owned and operated a family farm until retiring in 1995. Donnie was also employed at one time at Scott Paper Co. in Oconto Falls for 13 years. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Morgan and had served as president of the church council. He was a 35 year member and served on the made the board of directors of the Green Valley-Morgan Fire Company. He also held membership in the Oconto Falls F.F.A. Alumni, the Oconto County Sportsman's Alliance and the Morgan Sportsman's Club where he was currently serving as its president. Donnie enjoyed hunting deer, bear, turkey, fox and coyote.

Survivors include his wife, Velma; four sons and. two daughters- in-law, Bob Sr. and Linda Aprill, Dan Aprill and fiancee Sue Kozar, all of Oconto Falls, Ken Aprill of Pulaski, Larry and Nanette Aprill of Oconto Falls; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Cathy and Curt Runge of Gillett, Patti and Randy Konkel and Wendy Aprill and fiancee Rick Soueek, all of Oconto Falls; 16 grandchildren, Bob Jr. (Paula) Aprill, Sandi (Derek) LeFebre and Jason Aprill; Lynn, Brad, Rena and Brent Aprill; Jeremy and Tonya Konkel; Lee, Nate, Josh, Chelsea and Hannah Aprill Devin Aprill and Mikken Soucek; 10 step-grandehildren, Jolene, Aaron and Dorey VanCaster; Kaylynn and Sheldon Bierke, Kelly Runge, 'Traci (Mark) Hollister, Patrick Runge, Nikki and Jason Soucek; one great granddaughter, Brianna LeFebre; two step-great-grandchildren, Brook Bornhofer and Nicholas Hollister; two brothers, Byron (Mae) Aprill of Pulaski and Herb (Connie) Aprill of Oconto Falls; four sisters, Florence Birr of Oconto Falls, Evelyn (John) Cayo of Green Bay, Joanne Tinsler of Boise, Idaho, and Loretta (Pete) Pleshek of Gresham.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Richard and Gwen "Butch" Aprill and four infant siblings. Visitation was held at the Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls Friday, Jan 15, and 4pm and at St John's Lutheran Church in the town of Morgan after 10 am Saturday at the church with the Rev. Paul Heykes officiating. Entombment will take place in Shrine of the Good Shepard Mauseleum, Green Bay.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to the Green Valley-Morgan Fire Company.
