Dean R. Schuettpelz Sr., 62, Athelstane resident, died Tuesday at his home.
He was born October 27, 1938 in Suring to the late Walter and Irene Schuettpelz. He married Joan James September 23, 1961 in Wausaukee. The couple resided in Green Bay, where he was employed by Fort Howard Paper Co. until retirement and moving to Athelstane. He was the Assistant Fire Chief and also Supervisor of Athelstane. Dean was an avid gardener, hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are his wife Joan; two sons, Dean Jr. (Laura) Schuettpelz of Pulaski, Daniel (Nicole) Schuettpelz of Green Bay; two daughters, Lori (Tim) Krause of Wrightstown, Nicole (Todd) Bolssen of Green Bay; four grandchildren Camryn, Colton, MacKensia and Julia; family and friends.
Friends called at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home in Crivitz Friday 2 p.m. until time of funeral at 5:30 p.m. Rev. Richard Marcy officiated. Burial in Mount Olive Cemetery in Suring.
