He was born July 17, 1925 in Suring to the late Herman and Etta (Wilson) Miller. Duane spent all of his life in Suring being employed by Tousey Manufacturing, Evenflow, and Holtger Brothers. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his two sisters, Ruby Schaal of Virginia, and Etta Schaal of Suring; one brother, Herman (Iris) Miller of Suring. Duane was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
Internment will be in Mount Olive Lutheran Cemetery in the Spring of 2001. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home, Suring, in charge of arrangements.
