Lucille Coffey, 93, Oconto Falls, died Thursday morning, June 22, 2000, at Sharpe Care, Ltd. She was born Aug. 19, 1906, in Bonduel, to August and Amanda (Bleck) Runge.

She graduated from Gillett High School with the Class of 1925 and went on to attend teacher's training in Shawano. Following graduation from teacher training, Lucille taught elementary school at Sohr School in rural Bonduel for four years. She later taught in the communities of Shawano, Angelica and Gillett. On June 20, 1936, she married Robert Coffey in Oconto Falls. Lucille lived in the Oconto Falls area for most of her life and was a longtime member of Immanual Lutheran Church, Gillett and the Oconto County Homemakers.

Survivors are two nieces, Jeanne (Gary) Braun, Oconto Falls; Sue (Dan) Larson, Superior, Wis.; her great-nieces and nephews, Marc (Karen) Braun and their children, Abigail and twin sons, Ethan and Evan, all of Shawano; Stacy (Brett) Lucht and their daughter, Natalie, Oshkosh; Gina Braun, Madison; Greg Braun, Oconto Falls; Carley Larson, Superior; a special niece, Thalia (John) Shimmon, Green Bay.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Coffey in 1968; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Myrtle and Merton Wagner and Margaret and Maurice Lindsay.

Friends called at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls after 2 p.m. Sunday until the time of services. Funeral 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Deacon Ralph Beversdorf officiating. Burial in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Oconto Falls.
